Fr Gerard Francesco Timoner III has been elected the 88th Master of the Dominican Order.
He was elected to this post during the General Chapter of the Order in Vietnam on Saturday, 13th July.
He is the first Asian Master of the Order. He was born on 26th January, 1968 in the Philippines. He joined the Order in 1989 and was ordained in 1995. In 2014 he was elected as Prior Provincial of the Dominican Province of the Philippines. Recently, he worked as a Socius of the Master for the Asia Pacific Region.
