Members of the Dominican Friars, Sisters, and Laity will gather for their Annual Conference on Sat next 27th June here in the Priory.

As a mark of respect and in conjunction with our American colleagues from Bel Canto Chorus from Milwaukee, Tallaght Choral Society is dedicating its concert on next Sunday, 21st June at 8pm in Mount Argus Church, to the memory of those who died, and to console those bereaved, injured or otherwise directly affected. The programme includes Haydn’s ‘MISSA IN ANGUSTIIS’ (‘Mass in Troubled Times’) and Lauridsen’s ‘LUX AETERNA’ (Eternal Lght). Sadly they are all too appropriate in the circumstances.
‘LUX AETERNA’ was first performed in California and was composed by Morten Lauridsen in response to his mother’s death and he found “great personal comfort and solace in setting to music these timeless and wondrous words about Light, a universal symbol of illumination at all levels – spiritual artistic and intellectual.”
