Aims of the Week:

• To pray as Christ prayed “That they may be one”.

• To pray for the unity of all Christian people as we share in Christ’s ministry.

The Week of Prayer offers opportunities to meet and pray with fellow Christians of different denominations in your locality.

WORLD MIGRANTS SUNDAY
19th Jan 2014

Today is Migrant Sunday and Refugee Sunday – we remember and pray for those who have had to leave their countries, their homes and their families—not an easy thing to do. We immediately think of our own Irish migrants who have been forced to seek work abroad due to the current economic crises. But Migrant Sunday is a moment for us to think—and pray—for all migrants, no matter where they come from.

CATHOLIC SCHOOL SUNDAY

Sunday next, 26 January, marks the beginning of Catholic Schools Week 2014. The purpose of the week is to highlight and celebrate the wonderful contribution that Catholic schools make to our local communities and  in general. This year’s theme is Catholic Schools: Places of Faith and Learning.
