COLLECTION FOR PHILIPINES/ SYRIA (replacing SHARE)

SYRIA: TROCAIRE will use proceeds to provide food, water, clothing, shelter, medicine etc.

Over 8.4 million are in need of humanitarian assistance. 5.8 million have abandoned their homes with 2.1 million seeking refuge in neighbouring countries.

With Caritas, Trocaire,has been delivering aid since 2011 to over 273,000 people.

PHILIPINES: Following on news of devastation in the Philipines caused by the typhoon

urgent requests are coming from the Church in the Philippines for prayers and for help to provide immediate relief for hundreds of thousands of people who are struggling simply to stay alive.

To-day’s collection will be shared 50/50 between SYRIA and PHILIPINES


SPECIAL MASS : TO-DAY(SUN)  AT 6.30pm – PROCATHEDRAL

Archbishop Martin will celebrate a special Mass to pray for all in the Philipines at this time. All welcome especially members of the Philipine community.

The Parish of St. Mary’s, Tallaght, Dublin, values and encourages he participation of children and young people in parish liturgies and in activities that enhance their spiritual, physical,  emotional and social development.

The Parish recognises the dignity and rights of all children  and is committed to their portection and support.

The Parish undertakes to do all in its power  to create a safe environment for children and young people

and to ensure their protection  from physical, sexual and emotional abuse.

The Parish fully signs up to Child Protection Policies and Procedures  as presented by   National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland  as per:  “SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN”

 

CHILDREN AT MASS

In accordance with our policy everyone is urged to share  responsibility for safeguarding children.

1. Children and parents are most welcome at Mass.

2. Children must be in the care of parents(or responsible adult) at all times.

3..An adult must accompany a child who needs to use toilet.

4. The area around the Tabernacle and Altar are ‘sacred’ : they are not play areas.

5.  Please be considerate towards everyone who comes to pray the Mass.

 

CONFIRMATION MEETING

Meeting on Tues 19th Nov at 7.30pm in Priory.

Enrolment Mass on Sunday 1st Dec at 10.00am
