LEO DONOVAN OP, R.I.P.

LEO DONOVAN OP, R.I.P.

by Robert Regula / Saturday, 24 February 2024 / Published in Parish Notices, Priory Newsletter

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Fr Leo Donovan OP, of this Community, who died in the care of the staff of Kiltipper Woods Care Centre, Tallaght, on Saturday 17 February.

Fr Leo, a Limerick native, spent five decades ministering in parishes in Trinidad and Tobago: Mayaro, Mon Repos, Curepe, Santa Rosa, and Petit Valley. He had a special love for the Word of God – praying with it and preaching it – and was a diligent student also of the history of the West Indies.

May the Lord whom he served welcome him home.
