Zen meditation

Jan 16 (Sat), Feb 7 (Sun), Mar 13 (Sun), Apr 17 (Sun), May 21 (Sat) / 11.00-16.00

Unmasking the Inner Critic Mindfully: looking at the role the inner critic plays in our lives.  We will explore its origins, its triggers, and its manifestations in our daily lives, and seek ways to replace it with self-compassion, kindness and awareness. 

Brief introduction.  There will be three sessions during the day, each consisting of two 30-minute periods of sitting, with 10-minute kinhin between.  [Bring a packed lunch.  Tea / coffee supplied.  Cost: €20.  Option of arriving at 7.00 previous evening, meditation 8—9 pm, staying overnight, meditation session in the early morning.  Cost €50] 

Mindfulness

Jan. 23 (Sat,) Mar. 5 (Sat.), May 7 (Sat.) / 11.00 – 15.00

The Potter

Mondays in Lent: The Gospel stories of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of the Lord 

February 15, 22, 29; March 7, 14 / 19.30 – 21.00

The four evangelists wrote for Christian communities who already knew the Gospel story.  Each tells the story in a distinctive manner.  We have the benefit of the four-faceted picture.  [€50 in total, or €12 per session] / Wilfrid Harrington OP

Holy Week Retreat

The art of Allowing – The Breath in Meditation and in Life

April 22 – 24

Experience relaxed natural breathing as a way of becoming open to the Holy Spirit. Participants will be helped to become more deeply aware of the ways in which the breath moves within them – and to experience where all of this leads us spiritually [Residential. €170; non-res. €100; one day: €40, inc. 4-course lunch] / Louis Hughes oP

Tai Chi and Meditation

Sessions of Tai Chi will be linked together with periods of guided sitting and walking meditation throughout the day.
